Comprehensive list of characters
This is a list of all the named characters who have appeared in the story so far. Grouped roughly by location and updated to chapter 20.
Terra 1
Claudia Luna
A former science professor who is currently assisting the Correctors in finding a way to stop Carla Luna's assimilation campaign. While she first agreed to this in exchange for their help, she's now convinced that Carla must be stopped.
Breeze / Liliana "Lily" Sánchez
A senior cadet who aspires to become part of the Terra Alliance's leadership to bring in change. She currently works as an apprentice under the guidance of the director of the North Andes base, who already denied her promotion once.
Barrier / Alex Méndez
Second-year cadet who together with Hound, Breeze, and B-47, was part of the mission to track and observe Claudia Luna, where he had the role of passing as a student to get to know her better as a person.
Hound / Oscar Parra
A member of the Austral District's regional council, as well as Breeze and Alex's mentor. He isn't fond of bureaucracy and would prefer to be out on field missions.
B-47
The computer of Hound's assigned planesphere. She's actively involved in his missions and is especially close to Alex and Breeze, who see her as a family member.
Oracle
A seer from Terra 3 who frequently assists the correctors in their missions. She's close to Hound and his team, and recently had a series of visions regarding Claudia, which for some reason she's choosing to keep a secret.
Crimson
The director of the North Andes base and Breeze's training supervisor. He will not hesitate to make sacrifices or break the established rules to keep the Allied worlds safe from harm.
Kesara
A biologist who's been involved in the science aspect of several of the corrector's missions. She also studied the artificial metage used in Silvana and her family, and came up with a potential plan to neutralize it.
Mirage
A recently promoted corrector, assigned to Hound's team in their upcoming mission in Terra 537-08. Breeze and Alex seem to not get along well with him.
Cuervo Celeste
The highest authority of the Austral District. Cuervo confronted Oracle after she unauthorizedly revealed to Claudia the corrector's secret intervention that eliminated most of Carla Luna's echoes across the known multiverse.
Eric Cero
The youngest member of the Austral District's Regional Council and acting director of the South Base. He seems to agree with Cuervo and Crimson's decisions without question.
Estela
The leader of a team that investigated a divergence on Terra 537-08 and discovered the possible involvement of a human with clairvoyant abilities, which is an extremely rare occurrence. She and her team are waiting for Hound and his group to arrive before continuing the mission.
Richard
An experienced field agent and member of Estela's team. He's confident in his team's work and is awaiting for Hound and company before continuing with the next stage of their mission.
Banshee
The youngest member of Estela's team. She has been openly skeptical about relying on Oracle for a mission where they might face a seer as an adversary.
Silvana Santos
The only survivor of her family and village. She was infected with an artificial metagene that caused her body to chaotically acquire reptile-like traits. Silvana is currently in a state of induced sleep to prevent her organism from degrading any further.
Erica Cero
A nurse from Terra 1 who lived ~80 years before the current time in the story. She's attributed with co-founding the Terra Alliance, as well as to ultimately defeating the threat of the warship, at the cost of her own life.
Terra Obscura
Desquicio
A man with the ability to collect and share the emotions he perceives in others. Has only recently begun to see people as more than emotion-producing beings. Desquicio was chosen by Sun Industries to be their sponsored participant in this year's Trial at the Tower.
Roger
The mercenary who brought Desquicio to Terra Obscura. During the trip, they were attacked by Dark Sun and barely managed to survive. He's since recovered, paid off the debt on his planesphere, and is getting ready for a new job.
Max
A Terra Obscura native who also became a sponsored candidate of Sun Industries. Dreams of getting a well-paying job after the Trial so he can support his family. He knows Roger and his crew through is uncle Bastion.
Nela
Despite not having a metagene ability, she managed to excel during the training preceding the Trial and gain Sun Industries sponsorship. Her goal is to find out what happened to her sister Elena and get revenge on whoever was responsible for it.
Elena
Nela's sister, who possessed clairvoyant abilities. One day, her mind was mysteriously invaded by seemingly random memories, and soon after Shadow One arrived to take her to Terra Obscura.
Marko
A human with no metagene abilities, who together with Nela, co-owned a transport (and smuggling) company. He witnessed Elena suddenly losing her mind and unleashing a flood of disconnected memories around her.
Dana
Marko's wife, who also collaborated with her husband and Nela's business. She also happened to be around the day Elena's mind became fragmented.
Bastion
A senior member of Roger's crew, as well as an old friend. He's also Max's uncle.
Mud
While there was a time when he didn't look like this, now he's content with being allowed to go on adventures and keeping the planesphere clean.
Vasco
Roger's second in command. He often ends up in charge of managing the details of Roger’s jobs and sticking to schedules.
Bronco
A member of Roger's crew who works on a contract. Has little patience for nonsense.
Shani
Another member of Roger's crew who works on a contract. Doesn't mind having some fun while out on a job.
Maurizio
The only mechanic in Roger's crew. Often can't do much due to technical and financial constraints.
Shadow Seven
Tasked with teaching the participants of the Trial about mental abilities, she seems to have taken a liking to Desquicio and took his training personally, helping to make him aware of the underdevelopment of his own emotions.
Shadow Nine
The strongest of the shadows, known to possess the most powerful known destruction ability. She's friends with Shadow Seven, who assisted her during the training lessons by combining their abilities.
Shadow Five
While he didn't take well having to teach the participants of the Trial, he ended up enjoying the task by making the recruits' training as hard as possible. Shadow Five has the ability to redirect the trajectory of the moving objects he touches.
Shadow One
He and his team were responsible for retrieving Elena from her world. He decided on a whim to not execute Nela and her gang but to give them the choice of joining the Trial.
River "Ongeval" Johnson
A mischievous teenager who enjoys using her teleporting ability. Dreams of leaving Terra Obscura for good, and resents her family for not leaving when they had the chance. The child of Roger's best friends and former business partners.
Dark Sun
The Madman
A mysterious character with no known name or past; he just wanted to have fun when he was taken in by Dark Sun. Rina gave him some false memories so he'd become loyal and his personality less erratic. Why Dark Sun took an interest in him is unknown.
Lazarus
The leader of Dark Sun who, just like the other members of the group, seems to have a grudge against Terra Obscura. Lazarus has the power to transfer his "self" into another body. Records indicate he's over 200 years old.
Tortura / Violeta
Current second in command of Dark Sun. She has the power of inducing pain in others, an ability she enjoys using to the point of insanity.
Paloma Celeste
Tortura's best friend and probably the only person who is completely safe from accidentally becoming a victim of Tortura's bloodlust. She possesses the power of seeing the absolute "truth" in others.
Callejero / Ren
A man who harbors a deep hatred towards all Terra Obscurans. His short temper has been the cause of trouble during Dark Sun's missions more than a few times.
Rina
A woman who has the power to invade and modify other people's memories. She used to be an active leader of Dark Sun, but had to step down due to her deteriorating health. Rina is known to be at least 200 years old.
Almanegra
A child the Dark Sun crew found in a bunker on a ravaged planet. After living with Dark Sun for some years, he mysteriously left, not before sabotaging the planesphere's power source and stealing some artifacts. He is currently living on his own and seems to communicate with his ship's power source, a mysterious floating crystal.
